Who does Bill Belichick hate more than Mac Jones? The New York Jets of course.
Bill isn’t a spring chicken, at 71 years old, you could count on one hand on how many years left Belichick has left coaching. With that how funny would it be to fuck the New York Jets over one last time.
Aaron Rodgers has said he wants to play for the New York Jets this upcoming season. On the Pat Mcafee Show, Aaron Rodgers confirmed the rumors on March 15th.
That is almost a month ago, so what’s the hold up? Sounds like the Jets and Packers were bickering off future draft picks that should be protected incase Rodgers retires at the end of the season. So with everything laid out, why wouldn’t Bill go to the Packers and fleece the Jets.
Mac Jones and Bill do not get along. Robert Kraft allegedly has said that Mac would be traded over his dead body, but in the same breath, Robert Kraft wants to win now! Mac feels under appreciated and with Belichick still angry about last year and how Mac Jones handled it, there was no surprise that Belichick tried shopping him this offseason. With the draft 3 weeks away, I can see a team who was looking through the draft to upgrade at the position and if their Quarterback wasn’t there, I could see them calling Bill and asking for Jones? It won’t be a first round pick but could be a 2nd rounder that you could then flip to the Packers to get yourself a veteran guy who will actually have a defense around him so he doesn’t have to put up 35 points just to win each week like he did in Green Bay. Rodgers, 39 years old, probably has 2 or 3 years left playing in him, Patriots fans all saw what Brady did in the last 3 years in Tampa, winning a Super Bowl. I wouldn’t mind trading Mac, getting Rodgers for a real shot at a Lombardi trophy. In the next 3 years Rodgers and Belichick both retire, and a new regime comes in .
Is Mac Jones a good Quarterback? yes. Has Mac showed he can’t handle what Bill is doing here and there’s no mending their relationship? yes again. Moving on from Mac will be something that needs to be done because I don’t see Belichick leaving until he hits that Shula record.
