War - Kraft vs Belichick

There are battles, and then there is straight up war. Just when is it going to end? The rumors have been going on for a few years and in every work environment not everything is one-hundred percent peaceful. The talk about the owner and GM/Head Coach have been talked about since Brady’s later years in New England. Think about it. It was allegedly happening since 2018. Only two Super Bowl appearances since then and winning one of them.

The biggest f***ing a**hole in my life.

Fast forward to 2021. After Cam Newton and that experiment to try and bridge the gap which was short-lived after illness and injury, Bill Belichick had the opportunity to pick the quarterback of his choice for the first time in almost two decades. Tom chased the money. Wanted to head down South. Sold his home and the whole nine yards. Divorce jokes aside, Tom did it and collected his seventh and last ring. And Bill had to start fresh.

Mac Jones was taken 15th overall in the first round and a new era was formed in New England. A promising first year. Then a sophomore slump. Some say Mac Attack is going to be short lived. Others blame the coaches that Belichick put in and kept them close for too long. And others blame the talent around.

The most important thing for an organization is for the owner, GM, and head coach to all be on the same page. And if one disagrees there is a second person there to be middleman. Here there is two men and they just are getting fed up. Bill Belichick is the best head coach of all time, but he also had the best quarterback of all time to help much of his success.

Fast forward to now. Robert Kraft says that they don’t spend enough and the cap space is fine. Bill Belichick is trying to find out what works for him. Who could be his guy. Someone he likes.

Devil’s advocate here. What if “The Patriot Way” only worked because of Brady?

How many wide receivers did Brady make look great? He also spread the ball out quite often. Granted on his offense when healthy was one of the greatest tight ends of all time. Gronk. Yes. We all know him. But with Gronk and Brady gone, what is next?

N’Keal Harry - Patriot Career

33 games - 57 catches for 598 yards and 4 touchdowns

2019 1st Round Pick 32 - Wide Receiver

Some are starting to question Belichick. Is it because of development? Not spending? Maybe because fans are used to winning and being in the playoffs every year that they have a standard set? Which one is it? As it gets closer to draft time, are they drafted a safety? An edge rusher? A wide receiver that will fail in development just like many Belichick draft projects? Or will Belichick finally cave, tell Bill O’Brien to suck it up, and get Hopkins in a Patriot uniform and hope that he is an elite talent that the team needs if they want everything to come together?

Are you team Kraft? Or team Belichick here?
