The AFC East is still available for the Pats

The Patriots cliched a playoff berth yesterday with their shellacking of the poverty franchise Jacksonville Jaguars and corresponding loss from the Miami Dolphins. They were also just a competent team away from having the AFC division title in their hands. Matt Ryan freaking blows! One of the best losers of the QB position in NFL history. If the Falcons had 1/2 of a piece of a clue they should have beaten the Bills on Sunday.

Josh Allen came off one of his best games against the Patriots and followed it up with a classic Josh Allen inconsistent crater game with 3 INTs. That’s all to say the Bills could lose to the Jets next week. The Jets brought Brady and the Antonio Brown-less Bucs to the brink. If not for Brady’s full ownership stakes of the New York Jets the Bucs lose that game.

The other obstacle is the Patriots playing in Miami. The Patriots have historically struggled in Miami and I have said for months this is not a lay up. The Dolphins are coming off a predictable loss to the Titans dropping them out of the playoff picture. They will certainly have something to play for. However, the Patriots generally play this game in August when it’s 100 degrees and 100% humidity. Also, wasn’t the Miami thing a Brady issue? He stunk there. Mac is southern boy. He’s a Floridian! Welcome in the dawn of a new era. The Patriots will soon own whatever the hell they call that shitty stadium in Miami home the same way they have treated Buffalo and the Meadowlands for 20 years.

So let’s no get ahead of ourselves, but I can’t wait for hat and t-shirt day in Miami.
