Patriots Pre Season Game 2
* How much time does Cam Newton get tonight?
- it's all but determined Cam is the starter
Is there a chance Cam betters his play knowing Mac is right behind him?
* When will we see Gilmore?
- Should Pats make a trade for a CB and let Gilmore sit 1/2 the season?
* I think he needs to get on the practice field and show them he can play
* Can the Patriots afford to use the 1st 4 weeks like extended training camp like they usually do?
- Isn't the margin of error a lot smaller?
- a 1/3 of your wins for the season are stacked at the front end
Marcus Smart signs extension
4 years $77.2 million extension for Smart
* Your initial thoughts?
It's not all bad
Chris Forseberg has had this similar thoughts even before the extension.
* Marcus Smart can be traded in 5 months per CBA adjustment
- Right in time for trade deadline
Does Marcus Smart getting his money help the team in the short term on the court?
* I think Stevens knows exactly who Smart is. he will give Ime a chance with him. If a deal is available Smart is gone.
- It gets tricky if you move into next year and no deal has happened and he's still here.
* Celtics blown out in summer league championship
- Makes sense. Right on par for this team
