•The Celtics took on the Philadelphia and played their best game of the season says Bobby’s favorite person, Joe Mazzula. Most fans would agree after being ice cold from three they reverted to driving to the rim.

I think the big test is for “the best player in the league” his words not mine but Jayson Tatum is playing his best basketball. You think the disrespect he’s getting in the mvp voting is driving him to this next gear of his game?
Speaking of MvP voting, report came out from all star weekend stating that Tatum told Doc Rivers to give Jaylen Brown his minutes so he could try and win MVP. If Rich was here he would say how this is dumb and doesn’t mean anything but I say he’s wrong. This kid is finally understanding that it doesn’t take one person to win this championship but a team. Even Porzingis has come out and talked about how Tatum could drop 50 a night but is helping his teammates with open shots. Thoughts?

•Eliot Wolf and Jerod Mayo spoke at the NFL combine on Tuesday
Thank god there is an adult in the room here. That actually has the courage to discuss his plans in relation to football operation of the organization. And his plan is to mirror the Packers organizational philosophy of draft and develop. As well as retain the talent they draft.
Here is what Elliot Wolf said at the combine
With regards to who is making the final decision on personal and draft choices
“It’s going to be a collaborative effort: Coach [Jerod] Mayo, myself, Matt Groh, the whole staff,” Wolf said Tuesday at the NFL Combine. “At the end of the day, someone has to make that pick, and that’ll be myself.”
He outlined that the collaboration we have been hearing about from Mayo will be put into practice with more input from scouts.
“This process is a lot more collaborative,” he explained. “We hear from the scouts more. We’re going to be able to determine, together, what is the best thing for the team at the end of the day.”
Beyond the new process, Wolf has also established a new draft grading system — which will mirror the one he ran in Green Bay where he spent 14 years rising through the organization.
“We changed the grading system. It’s a little bit more similar to what we did in Green Bay,” Wolf explained. “The previous Patriots system was more ‘this is what the role is’ and this is more kind of value-based. I think it makes it a lot easier for scouts to rate guys and put them in a stack of ‘this guy’s the best, this guy is the worst, and everything in between falls into place.’ Rather than sort of more nuanced approaches. I just think it accounts value better and also makes it easier for the scouts — in the fall and spring — to determine where guys will get drafted.”
Wolf made it clear that he would like to resign Onwenu and Dugger. (nothing on henry). He also touched on his philosophy of player development.
“It doesn’t impact us,” he explained. “Mike’s a core player for us. It’s no secret we want to try to keep Mike, and it’ll be just a bit of a wrinkle dealing with him. Mike’s really smart, and he’s introspective, and he’s thoughtful. And he knows what he wants, which is always good when you’re dealing with a player. He’s certainly someone that we view as a cornerstone for us"
“I think there is going to be a little bit more reliance on playing young players,” Wolf said. “I think it’s really important to play young players and develop from within.”
My takeaways from Elliot Wolf the acting GM
He has a plan. He sounds like the adult in the room.
They have proven not to be a key destination for free agents and have a history of not paying out big contracts to them. In order for this team to be successful they need to bring in young talent and develop them into players.
A change was needed it draft philosophy sounds like it is more about who can play vs can they play here.

-How can we change the hall of good back to the hall of fame?
-first and foremost there needs to be criteria to get into the conversation.
-are you someone that you could plug on a team and make them contenders?
I bring this up with Devin Hester a guy who returned punts mostly got inducted into the pro football hall of fame. You put him in his prime on the 2024 Carolina panthers is he making a difference on that team? Is he winning them games?
-your resume must include an individual award either for your position or for the league. You have to be elite at your sport.
-no longer let writers who have had their feelings hurt by players make it so they don’t get in. Also, if you were never suspended for ped use it shouldn’t be held against you. (MLB Players)
-some years there may not be anyone inducted and that should be fine. Stop forcing people in just because.
-lastly make your hall of fame worth something. The nfl is pure gold and should be the standard out of all 4 sports. I went to the basketball hall of fame this week and it was 3 floors of factoids. With picture ops for kids to measure up against Shaq and Yao. Be better nba.
