SHOW NOTES

Bob Socci - Voice of the New England Patriots.

RAY -Taking over for the legend Gil Santos in 2013 what was your approach to fill his shoes?
RAY - You grew up in Auburn, New York were you a Bills fan and if so how were the early 90's watching that team fail 4 times in a row?

Bill - Playing baseball in high school was it always your dream to broadcast baseball games? or was football always the dream broadcasting job?

Rich - How much practice went into the voice? and Cadence? Or did you naturally talk like that as a kid?

RAY - When you go to away games does your wife give you a speech almost as if you were going to a bachelor party with your buddies?

Bill - Your second year with the team deflategate happened. Could you talk about the feeling around the team leading into the superbowl?

Bill - Your first year in NE had probably one of the greatest sound bites in NE sports history with the unicorn and show ponies call by Zolack. How quickly did you learn when to let Zo go off on a tangent and when to kinda real him back in?

Bill - During exciting plays I noticed you kinda slide over and grab Zo, is that so he doesn't jump outta the booth?

Rich The Bill and Brady split. Brady leaves. Wins the Super Bowl. Patriots miss the playoffs. Is Belichick feeling the pressure this year?

Did you or do you feel like a child of divorce?

Bill - Was it a failure to have zero succession plan after Tom brady?

Rich - Some of us have declared Brady dead to us. Due to not just leaving the Patriots but some of his cringe worthy behavior. Not so subtle shots at Pats. Do you expect over whelming cheers for Brady week 4?

What will that game be like calling for you?

Are the "break in case of emergency" tranquilizers for Zo?

RAY - Was watching the Patriots last season a little bit of deja vu back to your Navy days? an offense based on running the ball, a QB that is better doing an RPO rather than sit back in the pocket and throw

Rich - What Ray meant to ask was did you feel like driving pencils in your eyes?

How challenging is it to toe the line with criticism as a team employee? Zo really let them have on a few occasions which the fans appreciate.

Rich - Has there been a different vibe or feeling around camp this year?

How much has to do with $250 million being dropped in the offseason?

How much of that is due to the 1st round QB in the building?

Bill - Who gives this team the best chance to win in the playoffs this year and why is it Mac Jones?

Bill - If Cam loses the starting job in training camp do he stay on as a back up or do the Patriots have to cut him?

Rich - Being around the team will you get a sense from the players if the locker room shifts to Mac? It feels like your partner will let us know if it happens.

RAY -other than the QB position what has been another position battle you have kept your eye during camp?

Bill - What do you think the outcome with Gilmore will be? do they pay him or let him ride out this last year of his deal

BIll - Who do you think will be a surprise cut this season?

Rich - Should winning the Division be a realistic target for the Patriots this season?

Bill - Could you give me your best Zo story? Whether it be in the both or outta it

RAY -We will be in Carolina for the November 7th game. Get in around Friday beers on Bill one night.

Rich - Tell the listeners when and where to find The GridIron and Beyond
