Joe Mazzulla Can’t Coach: Joining us tonight for this segment is Ben Hayes broadcaster for Harvard basketball on ESPN. Ben tell us about yourself. 

- We had a little back and forth with Ben on Tok Tok after we posted a video about the Celtics being front running pussies. So Ben tell us why this upset you and why you disagree with this?

-So with that being said the Celtics played Monday night against the Atlanta Hawks. Up 30 on a team is a 10 seed in the East and the Celtics end up blowing that lead and losing to the Hawks 120-118. Who do you put the blame on for that loss?

-The correct and only answer is Joe Mazzulla, the man can not coach. The final few possessions were disastrous. The Jays playing ISO ball. First Tatum comes down and there is only 1 PASS and he dribbles, and dribbles and dribbles and then turns the ball over. Jaylen Brown comes down the court waits for a screen from Porzingis who gets bodied off the screen. Jaylen dribbles and attempts to drive but pulls back and misses a 3. Joe Mazzulla just sat back didn’t call a play had 2 timeouts and just let them play. Do you guys like this approach or should he be using those timeouts to draw up some sort of play?

-Jrue Holiday and Derrick White both were out for the game Monday against the Hawks, on this show we have said that Derrick White has “it” and in all honesty should be the guy taking the last shot. Not taking away the star power of Jayson and Jaylen but it seems like our super stars have their butt holes puckered up in these late minute close games. Thoughts

-the narrative I keep hearing on sports talk is that “the Celtics have it wrapped up already and who cares that they lost.” My problem is this team playing 4 quarters. The percentage of them playing a solid 4 quarters has to be below 50 percent which in my opinion isn’t going to bring you a championship when you are in the playoffs playing like that. 

-Brown, Porzingis, White, Holiday. Excluding Tatum, who out of those 4 are the most important piece if the Celtics are going to win a championship?

Kraft Mayo at Coaches Meeting: Starting on Sunday and running to Wednesday was the annual NFL Coaches meetings and was the first time since the official start of the 2024 season where we have heard from Jerod Mayo and also Robert Kraft. NFL Rule Changes 2024: Some notable rule changes for the 2024 season, the good the bad and the wtf!

-The Good- the new kickoff rules.

Touchbacks bring team to 35 yard line now. 

Any Kick landing between the goal line and 20 yard line has to be returned.

Any kick landing before the 20 yard line is a touchback to the 40 yard line. 

Thoughts. 

-The Bad- The hip-drop tackle is banned

This is the language the NFL used to define the hip-drop tackle in the new rule:

It is a foul if the players uses the following technique to bring a runner to the ground:

(a) grabs the runner with both hands or wraps the runner with both arms; and
(b) unweights himself by swiveling and dropping his hips and/or lower body, landing on and trapping the runner's leg(s) at or below the knee.

How are players suppose to tackle the offensive player now?

The WTF- coaches get a 3rd challenge to make games longer now. Instead of having to win both challenges to earn a 3rd, coaches now need to have one of their first two challenges be successful to be awarded their 3rd.
