It is currently June 27th, the Patriots sit atop the league with cap space of $40 plus million, and we still don’t have a left tackle, a number 1 WR or a CB 2. What are we waiting for?
We didn’t touch on it last week but Rhamondre Stevenson got paid, 4 year $36 million dollar extension, $17 million guaranteed and is now the 6th highest paid running back in the league. Yay or nay on this contract and is this a fuck you to Bill who treated running backs like disposable razors. Use and abuse then throw them away?
Best story line going into training camp?
Bruins trade Linus Ullmark
Big news broke this week when the Boston Bruins sent goal tender Linus Ullmark and his contract of $5 million a year to the Ottawa Senators. Our text exchange was going back and forth with Bill and Rich arguing. Bill is on the side of the bruins hands were tied with Ullmark no trade clause while Rich was saying this deal is dumb since your return was (F) Mark Kastelic, (G) Joonas Korpisalso and a 1st round pick (25th overall).
The Bruins other goalie got burned last offseason from arbitration and is now a Restricted Free agent. If the bruins lose both goalies is this a red flag for the B’s or is freeing up cap space to go get a vital piece good for the team?
Are the Red Sox good?
Red Sox sit at 43-37 they would hold the last wild card spot. Should they be buyers or sellers at the deadline.
The rotation has been good but obviously that’s a starting point for this team if you can get more help that should be where you go.
A big bat other than Devers would be the other avenue they should look at.
Also they need a short stop since Trevor story isn’t the guy and is made of glass.
