Game 3 reaction
HEADLINES with the OBVIOUS ONE
The Boston Celtics are in the NBA finals and due the strict rules of Jinx I can not discuss the results of Game 3.
However, if the 3rd quarter looked like games 1 and 2 pray for the Celtics
Don Sweeney and Cam Neely play hot potato with the ball of suck and it lands on Bruce Cassidy. Cassidy was too mean to Jake DeBrusk and his Gen Z minions so the Bruins gave him his pink slip.
The Red Sox are good? Sox won in extras on Tuesday bringing them above .500 and now currently hold the 3rd wild card spot aka the 210 room for playoff teams
And finally the Patriots have named the offensive coordinator. Just kidding. Bill Belichick doenst know if they are changing the offense, but Matt Patricia is currently expected to be the one calling the plays. He's fat.
In other news the Saudi's are infiltrating our golf society with boat loads of money. Reportedly offering Tiger Woods a Billion dollars to join LIV Golf which he turned down.
Dustin Johnson has no soul however and jumped ship retiring from the PGA tour to chase the $25 million dollar purse in London, LIV Golf's next tournament.
Just think about how many murdered journalists we wont have to think about because Phil Michaelson is Teeing off in Abu Dahabi. Thank god we dont do politics
This has been HEADLINES with The OBVIOUS ONE
Bruins are Dead to Bill
Bruins fire Bruce Cassidy
- Scape goat move
“You don’t go out and get 107 points and win 51 games if players aren’t responding to you. That just doesn’t happen,” Sweeney said. “He’s able to push the buttons that are necessary, but it takes its toll. Over the course of time, it takes its toll. You have to find a way to deliver that message a little differently, or the personnel changes and you cycle it out. That’s a little bit of the cycle of what happens.”
* Bruins looking for a coach to relate better with younger players
- So Cassidy's fault DeBrusk is a pussy and Jack Studnika sucks?
- Cassidys fault Zboril, Lauzon, Vakeninan are a bunch of stiffs?
- Cassidy's fault you signed a handful of bottom 6 veterans to fill the depth but then didnt pigeon hole in your shitting draft picks like Trent Frederick?
* Providence Head Coach Ryan Moegenel is favored to get the job per Fluto Shazawa
- "players coach"
Bruce Cassidy win % .650. 4th best in Bruins history
Boston’s head coach since Feb. 2017, the Bruins posted a 271-131-52 record during Cassidy’s tenure behind the bench. Only the Capitals (273-132-48) and Lightning (288-130-36) posted better records over that span.
In NHL history, there are 112 coaches who have coached 6+ seasons. Three out of 112 had six consecutive years with a .650 points percentage (107-point pace in an 82-game season): - Scotty Bowman, MTL 1975-80 - Glen Sather, EDM 1982-87 - BRUCE CASSIDY, BOS 2017-22
Sweeney relying on Bergeron and David Krejci
- Bergeron shoulder surgery - 5th Selky award
- Marchand out 6 months with double hip surgery
- McAvoy out 6 months with shoulder surgery
From 2015 to 2018, Sweeney and the Bruins drafted 14 forwards. Of that group of 14, six have appeared in an NHL game, and Trent Frederic is that group’s second-highest scorer behind Jake DeBrusk, with 12 goals and 23 points in 119 NHL games.
Bruins have not had a player play from the minors since the 2017 draft.
Projected cap space 2.3 million. - Good luck
AFTER NOON DELIGHT
Matt Patricia is your next Patriots OC
Given the options - I don't hate it.
Lions OC's Jim Bob Cooter and Darrell Bevell - Known for scouting Russell Wilson. Bounced around the crap of the NFL
Do I trust Patricia to run the ship? NOPE
- Call plays? Sure.
QUICK BREAK
The Red Sox are good?
- Red sox are now 29 - 27
first time to .500 since April 22 7-7
3rd wild card spot up 1.5 games on white sox and guardians
Beating up on Angels who lost 13 straight
- Wacha with a complete game. 3rd for Sox this season
- Red Sox relying on starting pitching because the bull pen sucks. At least it's working. Mostly.
The Red Sox rank eighth in the majors in rotation ERA and sixth in rotation WHIP. Nathan Eovaldi’s had only one bad start, Garrett Whitlock’s successfully ramped up to six innings at a time, Nick Pivetta’s been fully dominant for a month now (1.32 ERA his past six starts), and Michael Wacha would be top 10 in the American League in ERA if he had enough innings to qualify
Devers leads the majors in hits, leads the American League in doubles and ranks third in the A.L. in OPS. His defense is also noticeably improved
The Red Sox lead the American League in runs.
They have the A.L.’s third-largest run differential.
