Jori Davis - Professional Basketball player and founder of WeVolv
Rich - You finished High School in Rochester NY, leaving London. Is that the worst loss you've taken in your life?
Ray -You played for Indiana University. Is Connecticut one of those programs that you just absolutely despise? The way they win all the time and get the best talent in the country. Obviously now
The tide is changing but when you played was that the thought.
Ray -You were drafted in the WNBA to the Indiana Fever. What’s the process like and how is that experience? How bad did it suck to learn you were cut?
(She was locked out of the gym and later told she was cut before ever practicing for them)
Rich - 10 years, Six countries played in. How difficult is it to balance maintaining a competitive drive and experiencing a new culture?
Ray -You’re playing for Faenza in Italy now you’ve also played in Switzerland, Israel, Greece, Spain and Romania what has been your favorite country to play in?
Ray -what’s the best part of your game? And is there a lot of trash talking?
Rich - Playing in Italy, have you thought off transitioning your game to more of Big Baby Davis type so you can house pasta
Rich - Which country has the worst food? People?
Ray -You started Wevolv which helps athletes find mentors while still
In the game. What type of problems
Did you run into that made you want to start this?
Rich - Facebook post - Staying loyal to the culture or the industry
"I’ve had nuts dangled above my head, in an attempt to use me as a tool to manipulate and control my tribe."
- Wanna flesh that out a bit more for us?
Rich - Should American Collegiate Athletes be focusing more on an international career? Could you see more of a stream line path instead of what feels like a back up plan now.
Rich - Sell us on watching international hoops over American. With Lebron getting his newest binkie in Westbrook and our Celtics sucking last year, I'm frustrated.
Rich - How is Women's professional basketball viewership and fandom overseas vs in US?
Rich - Olympics fan? favorite event? Through your experience over seas competing through Covid, did you have an opinion on Tokyo pushing through with the games? Seems like thing have been handled ok, but residents not happy.
