CELTICS vs. NETS

Game 1 takeaways

- Defense on Durant was a focal point for Celtics

- Horford was awesome. 41 minutes. 20 -15-2

- Marcus Smart really good game. Shot a lot but they went in. 20 - 7 - 6

- Tatum and Brown did what they were supposed to do offensively

Tatum heavy distribution early. Both with big shots late

* Game winning sequence

- Lock down defense on Kyrie than really great 1 v 1 tatum on Durant settles for deep 3. No time out. Jaylen drive dish - Smart pump fake finds Tatum cutting - Tatum doesnt blow the lay up - game

- How much of that was development, improvement, maturity on behalf of the Celtics?

- FYI they blew a 12 point lead in the 4th.

- Went 8 minutes with out scoring - Tatum 4 points in the 4th quarter.

Side note - Refs sucked in this game. Way too many whistles

Kyrie fucking Irving

- The most insufferable fraud athlete in our life time. Name me somebody even remotely close?

* All day with the gestures. Camera palm, middle finger, double birds, crying, grabbing is dick, suck my dick

* The press conference a barrage of shit just falls out of his mouth

$50,000 fine. Too light? NBA could have hit him twice. or even more.

If he continues does NBA suspend?

Kyrie got paid $30 million to play in less than 1/2 the games.

29 games played. His game checks are over $1 million plus what ever bonus pool they get for the play offs. $50 grand is toilet paper.

- How will the Garden react in game 2?

- How does Kyrie respond?

* Marcus Smart wins DPOY

Probably didn't deserve it, but he is arguably the best defensive guard in the NBA on the NBA's best defense.

- What a Campaign put on by the Celtics though. Bravo

Gary Payton handed out the award in a beanie and huge hoodie. Couldnt speak. Just made me laugh.

QUICK BREAK

CELTICS vs. NETS Game 2

- How does KD respond?

- Kyrie can not and will not keep up this level of play.

- Can the Celtics stay focused in the midst of a big win and Smart's DPOY and probably getting punched in the mouth to start this game?

- What will the benches do?

Celtics out scored 30 -17 in game 1. Derrick White, Grant Williams need to step up.

- Foot on the gas. End it if you can. Al Horford cant play 41 minutes a night all play offs.

INSTANT REACTION??? Who's awake?

Celtics Game 2

- Take aways

- Big Boy win

- Punched in the mouth. Sluggish start

- Nets had a great game plan early. Were engaged defensively

- Dropped 3 guys in the paint any time Brown or Tatum drove. Took awhile for Celtics to figure it out.

- Nets role players stepped up

Bruce Brown - 23 points

Dragic - 18 points. Were they all in the 2nd quarter?

Seth Curry 16 points a couple dagger 3's

Drummond was a beast on the boards

- Nets lost the game at half time. Let a 17 point lead slip to 10 as Celtics were on a run

Celtics

* Grant Williams kept them in the game offensively

* Daniel Theis 15 6 2. Great game

* 8 players played for the C's. 7 in double figures.

* Payton Pritchard with 2 of the biggest shots in the game. 81 - 88 pull up at the FT line. and step back 3 to take the lead against the shot clock

Jaylen Brown took over. 10 points in the 4th quarter. 2 big 3's. Drive on Kyrie another strong take

Jayson Tatum picked his spots and hit. Huge dagger 3. Nice floater. Got himself to the line when Nets in the bonus. 9 points in the 4th. Another 10 asst game. He is breaking down defenses.

- Ime started the 4th with a ridiculous line up. Who let the Nets get a 13-14 point lead. Brought Tatum in almost instantly.

- Derrick White, Grant Williams, Theis, Jaylen Brown, Smart

Kevin Durant is not in a slump. The Celtics have locked him up and STeve Nash cant get him open. 27 points 18 of 20 at the FT line. Refs were rediculous

Kyrie Irving turtled like we knew he would. 10 pts. A non factor all game.

- Post game presser. singing the praises of the Celtics. Fuck this fraud

Celtics defense

- Nets scored 33 - 32 - 25 - 17

that's good coaching, strong will, great composure

The Refs tried to swing this game to the Nets. Huge missed calls. Non gola tend - 5 point swing. Missed a push on Theis into smart. 4-5 point swing. Farting on Durant was a foul. The flagarant they called early on the Nets set the tone for stupidity.

Does this win solidify the Celtics have or are in the process of passing the final test of learning how to win?

HEADLINES with The OBVIOUS ONE

(read this in the Birthday song melody)

Marcus Smart won the award. For defensive player of the year. First time since 95 when the Glove won it too.

Kyrie Irving is a cunt. And was fined 50 thousand clams. For being a cunt. cunty cunt cunt cunt cunt.

The Red Sox won too. And are 1st in the east. They may blow out whitlock's arm, but at least they're a .500 team.

The Bruins can't score. On the power play boo, but they clinched the playoffs and beat the Blues.

With only 5 games left. Can they pass the Lightning, and avoid the Hurricanes. In round one of the playoffs

This has been HEADLINES (really draw this out. End of the tune) with The Oooooobbbbbvvvvviiiioouuuusssss Onnneeeeeeeeeeeeeee)

Red Sox keeping it close

2 -1 win over the Blue Jays on Tuesday. Eovadli with the only walk of the game through 4.2 innings. 6 ks. 1 ER (100 pitches through 4.2 is just brutal.)

Bull pen locks down. No walks No runs. Robles with the win. Whitlock the SV.

* Whitlock on pace for 175 innings out of the pen

Mike Marshall 208 innings. 1974

2021 - Ryan Yarbrough 155.2
