I don’t what this super league is, but I’m here for the hate
Hey, newsflash I’m not a huge soccer guy. I’m no Billy on the Pitch, but this story has been making the rounds and the hate is very real.
Who’s Gary Neville? Some chap from Jolly Old England who hold his mic like a lolly pop to me. Doesn’t matter. He is delivering his message with such distain for people he’s talking about I can’t help but love him. Or maybe it’s because he’s lumped the owners of Liver Pool in here. Ya, know John Henry and the Fenway group. The same sleeze balls who are #deadtome.
If you asked me exactly why I hated the Red Sox ownership group I couldn’t give you a great answer. But I think Gary nails a big part of it here. Greed. It just feels like every move by ownership is not baseball first, it’s business and PR first. And I supposed that’s what at the heart of this story which is no surprise.
So, good on Mr. Neville speaking for the people. And a pro tip for anyone trying to get my attention or support in the future throw on a British accent and find something or someone you truly hate. Then break the will and hearts of said person or thing with lolly pop mic and captivating speech. Fuck the Super League.
