Winning Time is the best show on TV

There is no shortage of sports on tv right now, from NBA playoffs, NHL regular season is ending, and MLB in its first month there is a lot to watch right now. But every Sunday on HBO Winning Time has a new episode and it is much watch.

Winning Time is the story of the Los Angeles Lakers from which Magic was drafted and Dr. Jerry Buss buying the team. The show has gotten a lot of criticism from former players and front office members and its laugh out loud funny how people get offended by what they see on this show.

As a Celtics fan I never cared to learn the story of the Lakers, of course I know all the main characters but it just wasn’t on my to do list to learn about the Lakers, and damnit I’m upset I didn’t learn more of them earlier.

John C. Reilly plays Dr. Jerry Buss and he pulls off the look perfectly. From what I have learned about Jerry Buss from the first 8 episodes is that he loves pussy, this guy has girls all around him while pulling off the Rich McPhee look with only buttoning 2 buttons and showing off that luscious chest fro. The other thing you learn is that this guy had zero money to buy the Lakers and had to give his ex wife the team so the banks wouldn’t take the team away from him.

The other main character is of course Magic Johnson played by Quincy Isiah. The start of the whole show has Magic Johnson in a doctors office finding out he has AIDs. From that point its a flash back to him winning the national championship with Michigan State and his college sweetheart Cookie. Like Jerry Buss, Magic Johnson also loves pussy and so far shows off the multiple girls he hooks up with. It also shows the beginning relationship between Magic and Larry Bird, who they portray as being a huge douchebag that hates everyone. Also shows how him and Kareem got along and also Jerry West as the GM, who has come out and said that he was nothing like the character on tv is. I think he is saying that because it comes off that Jerry West was a huge CUNT. If you haven’t watched it go check it out on HBO, if you’re a sports fan you’ll enjoy this.
