The Patriots Need to Take Abdul Carter at 4

Watching Super Bowl 59 and how the Philadelphia Eagles DESTROY, ya that’s right, the Eagles destroyed the Chiefs. Did we see the blue print the New England Patriots need to follow?

What do I mean by that? Well when you send 4 players in and never have to blitz and can sack Patrick Mahomes 6 times in the big game, it’s something the AFC should look at and start to follow.

The big lineman and linebackers are never talked about, hell they aren’t the sexy name that fans talk about. I blame fantasy football for that, if you aren’t a QB, RB, WR, or TE people tend to not pay attention to you since you won’t be giving them points on Sunday. But with the combine coming up in 2 weeks it’s time to talk about who and why the Patriots should pick Abdul Carter with the 4th pick in the NFL Draft.

Now that the season is officially over its time to talk offseason and with the combine coming its time for Patriots fans to watch everything Abdul Carter does. Meaning, build up your lines on offense and defense and with the 4th pick, if Abdul Carter and Travis Hunter are both available the pick should be Carter. You look at how the Eagles disrupted the Chiefs offense with the defensive line. Not only does that help rush the Qb but also helps the corners back in coverage. Abdul Carter can help year 1 and beyond when selected this year in the draft.

His stats in college this year, 12 sacks, 2 forced fumbles and 43 solo tackles in the Big 10. He is a disruptive presence on the defensive side of the ball and knows how to make plays. Defense wins championships, let him tell you about it and let’s hope his name is called at number 4 in May at the draft by the New England Patriots.
