The Jays should make history when the NBA Finals are done
As I sit in my office chair with 3 hours of sleep from being amped up after a nail biting game 3, I started searching the web for an answer I already knew. Jaylen and Jayson balled out last night combining for 61 points in a 106-98 game 3 victory over the Dallas Mavericks and lead the series now 3 games to none. No team in the history of the NBA has ever come back from a 3-0 deficit and I don’t think I’m shooting my shot early by saying this Mavs team won’t be making history.
This era of Celtics basketball the Jays are it. Also, in an age of diva tactics and wanting to be the Man, the Jays play off one another and pick the other one up and don’t let the media divide them which is shocking to me as a fan of sports. The history I think/want to happen is after the team hoist the Larry O’Brien trophy, Jaylen and Jayson should be the first ever co finals MVPs. It would be fitting after the run these two have had. Both have had a great finals with Jaylen’s scoring and Tatum filling the stat sheet with everything else. I hope after Friday or Monday that we as a region can witness 18 and also a first for the most deserving pairs to have that first accomplishment together.
