Jake DeBrusk is a 5th line player
How dare Jake DeBrusk sully the integrity of our new shiny toy that is the Taylor Hall line. Good god was that tough to watch last night. I’ll say this for DeBrusk, he was busting his ass out there. He had a couple nice hits and was back checking fairly well. But, if I have to watch one more slap happy back hand pass into a sea of bullshit I’m gunna snap. The guy played almost 20 minutes and that stat line is summed up with, 0. Or - $5,000 for the cross checking Scott Mayfield’s neck in half.
Jake DeBrusk was given a $3.2 million dollar salary this year to man Krejci’s LW and now the most suitable position I can see for him is teaming up with Captain Cinderblocks, Nick Ritche to form some kind of poor man’s bash brothers campaign. And that’s only half joking. My solution for the 2nd line if Smith is out for a bit is Charlie Coyle. I throw Coyle on Krejci’s RW and let the top two lines carry you with talent. Give the sucky smash brothers Kuraly at center and let them be your heavy line. Lazar has been playing well. Maybe him and Kuhlma can get lucky with Wags playing hot.
And if that doesn’t work strap Billy BadWords to a Roomba and let his drunk ass slide around the ice. Basically the same production. Thanks Stefon.
