Hey Bill, read the room

Welcome to the “legal” tampering period and wouldn’t you know it the New England Patriots have signed….. Jonathan Jones for 2 years at $20 million and $13 million guaranteed, woof. For a team that will be playing Josh Allen, Aaron Rodgers, and Tua twice a year this deal does not make me very excited. Jonathan Jones is a solid number 2 corner on this team, he is not a number 1.

In 2022 Jonathan Jones had 8 interceptions, only 1 of them was against AFC East opponents. He is not great in the division and the Dolphins went out and did what the Patriots should have done, sign Jalen Ramsey! He gets traded for a 3rd round pick and a backup tight end. Robert Kraft came out apologizing to season ticket holders for last years performance and told them changes were coming…. WHERE ARE THEY ROBERT!

Curran: A word of advice for Pats fans entering free agency -- RELAX!

RELAX? For 19 years the Patriots were the dominant force in the AFC, and now we are the laughing stock of the AFC East. Teams are getting better, 8-9 is the new norm for this team. Bill needs to read the room, what skilled position do you think stands out ahead of everyone else in this division?

The only one that I can think of is the running back position and this isn’t the late 90’s, Rhamandre Stevenson is not going to win us a Super Bowl in this day.

Once again Bill has a lot of cap space to play with after trading Jonnu Smith to the Falcons for a …. 7th round pick. The same Jonnu Smith we were excited about getting 2 years back when Bill had, yup you guessed it, a lot of money to spend.

Patriots fans should not hold their breath waiting for a big splash, Jalen Ramsey, Deandre Hopkins, hell even Odell Beckham won’t be wearing a Patriots jersey this upcoming season. The sky is officially falling on this organization. Get ready for head scratching signings and trading back in the draft.

It has been 23 years since we have finished last in the AFC East. WE ARE DOOMED!
