Have you not been paying attention for 20 years?
The NFL draft is by far the best out of all 4 major sports with the NBA draft right behind it. This Thursday could be one of Bill Belichick and the Patriots’ biggest drafts ever. With Robert Kraft hinting towards Bill blowing previous drafts and having to go out and spend a quarter of a billion dollars on free agents, Bill will need to hit on the early round picks. They have 10 picks with 3 in the 4th round.
The biggest question is who will the Patriots take with their first selection? Everyone thinks its a Quarterback since Cam Newton is still on this roster. Mac Jones, Trey Lance, and Justin Fields have all been linked to the Patriots and all have different scenarios for the Patriots trading up to get one of these guys. If you have been following the Patriots during Belichick’s time here you would know that there is more of a chance of him trading back than trading up to get a player. In fact in his time in New England he has only traded up once in the first round of the NFL draft. The one and only time Bill has done it was in 2003 when he moved from the 14th pick to the 13th pick to select Defensive Tackle Ty Warren.
