Big news in the wrestling world came out on Thursday. At first the post was thought of as an April fools joke but the WWE has confirmed it is true. For the first time ever WWE and AEW will be working together! Stone Cold Steve Austin’s podcast, Broken Skull Sessions, will have AEW superstar Chris Jericho. The show will premier on Wrestle Mania weekend April 11th. AEW has not been shy about wanting to work with other companies similar to what they have done with Impact Wrestling and New Japan.

Is this the first step in to a working relationship with AEW and WWE? They are the two mega powers of wrestling right now. From what I have read Austin asked McMahon if it was alright to have Jericho on and McMahon gave him permission. Jericho and McMahon have had a friendship and maybe that is the reason why this is happening but still there is always the imaginary wall that WWE has where no other promotion exists, so this is very intriguing at the very least.

If this is the door opening there are so many dream matches that could come from this. The Elite (Kenny Omega, The Young Bucks, Adam Hangman Page) have never been apart of the WWE brand. Although, they were in developmental they never made the main roster. The matchup and storylines they could have are endless. Some big ones would be Kenny Omega - Seth Rollins, The Usos- The Young Bucks- New Day- The Lucha Bros, Hangman Page - Finn Balor. That could be a co-main event for Mania.

However, the only way this will ever go down is when Vince passes away and the reigns get taken over by Triple H. But, here’s to hoping this is an eye opening experience and Vince sees the money that can be made.
