A Finals Birth leads to bigger things

The Boston Celtics are 1 win away from reaching the NBA Finals. The third time might finally be the charm for Jayson Tatum who has lost his last two appearances to the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Miami Heat. This season has seen the two Jays grow up and flourish as stars of this league. We have to remember that the Jay’s are young, Jaylen 25 and Jayson 24 both not even in the prime of their careers and with all the All Star appearances, First Team awards won’t amount to what can happen after making the Finals.

NBA players that haven’t won a ring yet.

NBA players are in the here and now, loyalty doesn’t mean a thing but winning a ring means everything to these guys. They like to set them selves up to be on a championship team (because who the fuck likes to lose or live in Sacramento?) where they don’t need to do extra leg work, it’s already there and they just need to show up and be that extra piece. The Celtics like I said before have two guys that arguably are top 20 in the league right now and not in their prime yet. The Celtics since the Jordan era has never been a destination, the weather sucks during the season, New Englanders are assholes (we can all admit to that), and other than the few years we had the big 3 of KG, Pierce and Allen players never said, “I want to go to Boston.” But that is all about to change.

The league is full of parodies, from Lebron’s Heat and Cavs, to Curry’s Golden State teams, if you can win people want to play with you. So have the Celtics laid out the best blue print to be a power. house in the East for years to come? Jaylen and Jayson are signed long term with Jaylen’s contract being a little more team friendly. You have nice contracts with players that you can move like Marcus Smart and Robert Williams, and young guys like Payton Pritchard, Aaron Neismith and a guy who I think if he wins a ring calls it a career in Al Horford which free up more money for this team. There is so many ways Brad Stevens can go with this roster it’s exciting as a Celtics fan. The only question is how many finals appearances will this team see?

Thank you Lebron, you took the words right out of my mouth.

Make sure you get your self the championship of craft beer here in New England to celebrate wins with the Celtics, White Birch Brewing out of Nashua NH. I highly suggest Something A Little More Interesting, a NEIPA that goes down smooth and gets the job done.
