What SHOULD Be The Every Day Lineup (For RHP)

It’s been a little tough. And as Rich put it, “Alex Cora is showing up high every day.” With Duvall hurt, too many lefties, and some guys flat out not hitting, this should be the every day lineup against a right hander.

  1. CF - Jarren Duran / LH

  2. DH - Justin Turner / RH

  3. RF - Alex Verdugo /LH

  4. 3B - Rafael Devers =LH

  5. 2B - Kike Hernandez /RH

  6. C - Reese McGuire /LH

  7. LF - Masataka Yoshida / LH

  8. SS - Yu Chang / RH

  9. 1B - Triston Casas / LH

Any shockers? Let’s break it down.

1. Duran is a top of the lineup guy. He’s hitting lefties and righties. Has speed and right now the only real guy the Red Sox can trust in Center Field full time. And granted, I did weigh Tapia. And quite frankly, at this point I’d consider trading him. He’s taking up a roster spot and he’s a solid 4th outfielder somewhere else. There just isn’t room on the roster for him and they aren’t using him in a way for him to be productive. The kid has the higher hand.

2. Is he old? Yeah. But he's the best right handed bat on the team that's active. He needs to break up the splits and the best guy to do so. No other right hander can do it right now.

3. Dugie! Best hitter on the team right now. Without a doubt. Before we fight about Devers, he's getting out of a cold streak.

4. Devers. Nothing left to be said. Just hit better with the bases juiced. Other Rich, myself, and plenty others will be waiting with irate words.

5. Kike… Strictly for breaking up the lefties. Not on a cold tear anymore, but fans are feed up because there should be someone else there. Not his fault. But the hitting needs to be picked up.

6. Better bat of the catchers. And looking at batting average, he's next man up.

7. Hope he picks it up. Yoshida-Senpai is still adjusting.

8. Yu Chang. I'm furious. As many people are. But defensively he needs to be there. Bat wise? He better get it going. Hitting almost half his weight. Unacceptable about a month in the season. He looks like he's getting it together, but he has never been a good hitter at thr plate by any means.

9. FIGURE IT OUT!

Red Sox second highest ranked prospect has only been able to fight off foul balls and get lucky. And so far better against LHP than RHP. This is frustrating. Does he need a minors stint and have Dalbec called up to be a right handed hitter at first base? NOT SHORTSTOP CORA!!!

That said, when the lefty lineup is made everyone can compare. In the meantime, hope that they can bridge the gap to Kenley.
