Robert Kraft will get into the Hall of Fame…

Robert Kraft has checked off every single box for an owner to get him into the Hall of Fame.

Many fans weren’t alive back in the day before Robert bought the team. I remember my first game I ever went to at Foxborough Stadium. There were no seats, just cold metal bleachers, the game I went to was in December against the New York Jets. You couldn’t stay warm because of the cold concrete on your feet and you couldn’t sit because your ass cheeks would freeze to the bench. The stadium was reminiscent of an old dumpy college stadium.

With that and an owner on the way out, James Orthwein, the team was being rumored to move out of Foxborough to St Louis. Orthwein was planning on moving the Patriots to St. Louis and renaming them the Stallions but Kraft refused a buyout of the Patriots lease effectively blocking Ortherin from relocating the team. Thus having Robert Kraft buying the New England Patriots in 1994. Check mark number 1 save a franchise from relocating.

With the lease running out on Foxborough Stadium, Robert planned on an upgrade and tearing down the shit hole that was there and debuting a beautiful brand new stadium, CMGI Field.

CMGI field quickly became Gillette Stadium and in 2002 was state of the art and with a Super Bowl banner to be hung, Gillette was always sold out for 20 plus years. Check mark number 2.

What would make be the cherry on top for an owner? Not 1

Not 2

Not 3 (now it’s a dynasty)

Not 4

Not 5

But 6 championships as owner

What a resume, so why the hell isn’t Robert Kraft in? Well, with winning comes controversy and boy do the Patriots have that. You have the controversy with Spy Gate and Deflate Gate, though it wasn’t Robert himself, he was running the ship. It’s like if an employee fucks something up or gets caught the owner usually is the one that takes the heat. Anytime a team is caught “cheating” you will be destined for an asterisk next to anything you do and since spy gate happened with the first trophy it’s going to follow your whole career. The other big red flag is the rub and tug he got at the Orchid’s of Asia Day Spa. It’s not the happy ending he got but how none of the owners backed him up and made the other owners and nfl look bad.

With all of this he will get in but I think he will be like Pete Rose. The year after he passes he will be inducted and that’s sad. For all that he did for the nfl he will be blacked balled and never get to enjoy the moment of wearing that gold jacket. He is getting the Pete Rose treatment.
